Hq MAC General Order G-22, 3 February 1969, redesignated the Pacific Aerospace
Rescue and Recovery Center (PARRC)
as the 41st Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Wing , effective 8 February
1969
Organization :
The Headquarters, 41st Aerospace Rescue and Recobvery Wing (41 ARRWg),
Hickam AFB, Hawaii, is under the
Operational Control of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and receives logistic
support from the 6486th Air Base Wing.
Hq 41 ARRWg has 11 Detachments under its direct Command.
It also has the 31st, 33d, 36th, 76th and 79th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery
Squadrons (ARRSq) and the
3d Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Group (3 ARRGp) under its command.
The 3 ARRGp is responsible for four squadrons.
The 37th and 39th ARRSq have no detachments while the 38th ARRSq is responsible
for 14 Detachments (DET) and
the 40th ARRSq with DET 1, 40 ARRSq.
Because of its location in Southeast Asia the 3 ARRGp is under the operational control of 7th Air Force.

FEB 1969 :
DET.12 was relocated to U Tapao AB, Thailand
Missionactivity reduced at Nha Trang AB, the commander 41 ARRWg directed
Detachment 12, 38 ARRSq
to relocate at U-Tapao AB.
PACAF Movement Order 2 of 01 FEB 69 was implemented on 28 FEB 69 and the
unit became operational
within five days of completing the move.
